She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Thornton and Minnie C. Thornton (Tague); her husband Chester "Novie" D. Wishart; her son-in-law Robert Dwayne Hampton; her great grandchild Molly Marie Hampton; and her siblings, Jeraldine Wells, Nancy Thornton, Eileen Thornton and Bill Thornton.
She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Hampton of Mattoon, IL; her grandsons, Gary Bryant (Tracie) of Mattoon, IL, Robert Hampton (Pam) of Mattoon, IL, James Hampton of Mattoon, IL and John Hampton (Angela) of Mattoon, IL; and her sister Anabel Spitz of Mattoon, IL.. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial donations in her honor may be given to Zion Hill United Methodist Church.
