He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Saben and Madelyn Saben (Scott); his stepfather Orve Nickols; and his siblings, John, Gary Saben, Lynn Saben and Wendy Emmons.
He is survived by: his children, Shanda Hudgens (Dustin) of Montgomery City and Timothy Saben of Hannibal; his close friend Dixie Savage; and his sister Donna Saben of Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial fund has been established for the family.
