Daniel Rector Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Daniel Rector of Nauvoo, Illinois, born in Keokuk, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Rector and Jean Rector (Hayes); and his brother Tim. He is survived by: his former spouse Laurie Steffey; his daughter Katie Gilbert (Chris) of Louisville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Henry and Sylvie Gilbert of Louisville; his siblings, John Rector (Jackie) of Florida, David Rector (Carolyn) of Keokuk, Julie Rector Hodies of California, Pat Rector (Lorrie) of Keokuk and Mark Rector (Julie) of Keokuk; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Rector of Des Moines, Iowa; and his former wife Sherry Mills. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19, a celebration of Dan's life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Keokuk Public Library.
