She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry W. Schaeffer and Lavon McClay Schaeffer; her husband Walter C. May; and her siblings, Wilbur, Marvin, Darrel, Charles Schaeffer, Eileen Rossi and Mary Barton.

She is survived by: her daughter Vicky Sottile (Andy) of Kirkwood; her grandchildren, Alex Sottile of Houston, TX, Austin of Kirkwood, MO. and Addison Sottile of Kirkwood, MO.; and her brother Don Schaeffer (Pat) of DeSoto, MO..
