It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Beckmeyer Maxwell of Nashville, Illinois, who passed away on October 15, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Francis; her daughter Rebecca Maxwell of Tucson, AZ; her brother G. R. "Bob" Beckmeyer; her sister-in-law Alice Beckmeyer; her nephew Karl Beckmeyer; and her great-niece Alicia Beckmeyer Springer.
She is survived by: her mother Myrtle Johnpeter; her children, Margaret Maxwell Zagel, Andrew Maxwell (Ann Emge Maxwell) and Kathryn Maxwell (Michael Perrino) of Tempe, AZ; her granddaughters, Sarah Maxwell (Josh), Caroline Maxwell Page (David) and Lily Ruth Maxwell; her great grandchildren, Henry, Andrew, James Page, Genevieve and Charlotte Hutchison; and her nephew Gus Beckmeyer. She is also survived by other great nieces and nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or to the American Red Cross.
