It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Muenter of Nashville, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alden Muenter and Alma Muenter; and his parents-in-law, Victor and Rosemary Guinzy. He is survived by: his wife Kate Muenter of Centralia; his son Jesse Muenter (Lisa) of Riverview, FL; his grandchildren, Camden and Atli Muenter; and his siblings, Mike Muenter (Shirley) of Hoyleton, IL and Chris Strom (Don). He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church-Hoyleton (155 N Main St, Hoyleton, IL 62803). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran School in Hoyleton and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
