He was predeceased by: his parents, Leaton Walker and Lilly "Mabel" Anderson Johnson, Sr.; and his brothers, Jack Johnson and Leaton Walker Johnson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Schorfheide; his children, Michael Johnson (Deborah) of Effingham and Mary R. Rowell (Steve) of Opelika; his sister Patsy Gains of Cincinnati, OH.; and his grandchildren, Angela, Janell, Michelle, Gayle and Allen.

Memorial contributions are suggested and may be made to Nashville American Legion Post #110.
