He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Clayton and Emma Clayton (Hermann); and his brothers, Herman Clayton of Benton and Bernard Clayton of Billings, Montana.. He is survived by: his niece Leslie A. Pedtke; and his wife Shirley Clayton (King).

Memorials may be made in Lee's honor to a charity of the donor's choice.
