With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris (Schuette) McConnell of Nashville, Illinois, who passed away on April 13, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Kraft and Eva Kraft (Brown); her former husband Roland Schuette; and her husband Milford Merrell McConnell. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Payne of Bartelso, IL, Linda Josten (Alan) of Nashville, IL, Richard Schuette (Lisa) of Nashville, IL and Joy Bretsch (Greg) of Loveland, CO; her grandchildren, Nathan Payne (Amanda), Jennifer Payne (Barry), Amanda Josten, Luke Josten (Kyle Skewes), Zachary Schuette (Chelsie), Erin Holle (Josh), Rheagan, Logan and Landon Bretsch; and her great grandchildren, Jordyn, Jessica Payne, Madison, Riley Payne, Isaiah, Merida Schuette, Andrew, Owen Holle and Christian Rodriguez. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Campagna Funeral Home (171 N Western St, Nashville, IL 62263-1135). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois or to a charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
