Cheryl A. Davies Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cheryl A. Davies of Nashville, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on December 23, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Dillon and Norma Dillon (Alves); her husband Marvin Davies; her grandchildren, Timothy Reichling, Jr. and Mickel Sheree Kinney; her siblings, Michael Dillon and Mary Francis; and her siblings-in-law, Celine Cooper and Russel Curtis.
She is survived by: her children, Jay Johns (Marcie) of Freeburg, IL, Michelle Johns (Charles Kinney) of Shiloh, IL, Patrick Johns of Shiloh, IL and Eric Johns (Michelle) of Oakdale, IL; her grandchildren, Stephan, Dylan, Alec, Niven, Nicholas, Christopher, Kyle, Katie and Chloe; her great grandchildren, Elena and Easton; her sisters, Charlene Curtis of Fairview Heights, IL, Darlene Chenoweth of Oakville, MO and Laurie LaMonte (Steve) of New Port Richie, FL; her cousins, Dorothy Bowers, Charles Alves and Gary Alves; and her nieces and nephews, Katie Wintizer (Chad), Jared Curtis (Claire Jardin), David Curtis (Maggie Foster), Sarah Horne (Lyle) and Sommer LaMonte. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (6 N Alton St, Freeburg, IL 62243).
Should friends desire, mass offering or memorials can be made to the Washington County Animal Control and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
