It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley P. Rohwer of Naplate, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Johnson and Emma Johnson (Hammerich); her husband William Rohwer; and her siblings, Marguerite Kepler, Albert, Harvey and Melvin.

She is survived by: her children, Shawn Schmitke (Marty) of Marseilles, Mark (Courtney Robinson) of Princeton, Mike of Marseilles, Patty Hennessey (Bill) of Utica and Dawn Evans (Bob) of Roselle; her grandchildren, Rachel Mason (Bill), Jason Rohwer (Nichole), Erica Roetker (Jordan), Jordan, Jackie, Josh Schmitke and Emily Evans; and her great grandchildren, Hannah, Grady, Rebecca, Allison, Emma, Jakob, Mackenzie and Elliott. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
