He is survived by: his wife Leona DeBernardi; his son Gary DeBernardi (Debby); his granddaughters, Shannon Eckenroth (Jesse) and Kendra Sorensen (Robbie); his great grandchildren, Caden, Davin, Jaxon, Makenna, Eliana Eckenroth, Van, Gemma and Freya Sorensen; and his sister Joyce Piercy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
