She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Portelli and Rose Portelli (Bianconi); and her brother-in-law Kevin Cusack of Seattle, Washington.. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Cusack (Tom); her children, Deanna Cusack of Fort Meyers and Ryan Cusack (Julie) of Oswego, Illinois.; her grandchildren, Logan Porter, Avery Cusack and Emmett Cusack; her brothers, Phil Portelli (Lori) of Manhattan and John Portelli (Mardi Hudson) of Lena; her siblings-in-law, Robert Cusack (Louise) of Frankfort and Marilyn Mahon of Edwardsburg; and her daughter Julie.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home (44 S Mill St, Naperville, IL 60540). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church (2220 Lisson Rd, Naperville, IL 60565).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's name to Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, with a designation for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, would be greatly appreciated.
