With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Penelope Joan Hughes (Naperville, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Norman and Catherine Marie Smith. She is survived by: her children, MaryAnn Powers (William), Thomas Smith (Melinda), Joan Boehmer (Robert), Sharon Leyden (Thomas), Penelope Beckhardt, Gene Hughes, Stephanie Worobey (Michael), Kerry Bleuher and Heather Hughes; her grandchildren, Megan, Clark Worobey (Abby), Liam, Sophia, Terese, Finnegan Bleuher and Grace Beckhardt; and also Kathleen Anderson (George).
