With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy A. Hanson of Naperville, Illinois, born in Woodstock, Illinois, who passed away on November 18, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nancy A. Hanson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Dick of Rockford; her parents, Russell Nelson and Adeline Nelson; and her sister Alice Pursell (late Charles). She is survived by: her children, Heidi J. Hanson of Naperville, IL, Steve C. Hanson (Sandra) of Naperville, IL and Rex R. Hanson (Judy) of Naperville, IL; her grandsons, Karl Hanson (Katie) and Erik Hanson (Daphnee); her great grandchildren, Remy Hanson, Emil Hanson (Joanie Hogan) and Emma Higgins (Collin); and her cousin Linda Clinton (Tom) of Rockford. She is also survived by her "best friend", many relatives in Sweden, and many dear friends.

“My mother, Betty Best of Altona, IL, and Nancy came to be friends after meeting at a wedding or funeral in Rockford of the family of Marvin and Alice Johnson. I believe Nancy and Alice knew each other when they were younger. Mom and Nancy became good telephone friends and loved talking with each other. After Mom died, I stayed in touch with Nancy by phone. One of us would call the other every few months and we would just talk about whatever. She was such a sweet, kind person. I miss her already.”
