He is survived by : his wife Phyllis; his children, Brian Benac (Elsa) of Marble Falls, TX, Michael Benac (Michelle) of Naperville, IL, Kevin Benac of Clearwater, FL, Cathy Gorski (Daniel) of Gurnee, IL, Karen Darby (Keith) of Sandwich, IL and John Benac (Ami) of Plainfield, IL; his grandchildren, Christopher, Laura Benac, Norah, Miles, Clara, Audrey Benac, Mark, Matthew Gorski, Kari, Bailey Darby, Ashley and Caitlyn Benac; his great grandchildren, Madeleine, Shane, Wyatt and Piper; and his siblings, Joseph Benac (Lou) of Bettendorf, IA, Robert Benac (Jeanine) of Columbia, MO and Mary Staniger (John) of Ames, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home (44 S Mill St, Naperville, IL 60540). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Peter & Paul Catholic Church (36 N Ellsworth St, Naperville, IL 60540).
