He was predeceased by: his wife Antoinette L. "Toni" Hansler; his parents, Harold Hansler and Florence Hansler; and his sister Lila Deitz. He is survived by: his son Lawrence R. "Larry" Hansler (Sherri) of Naperville; his grandsons, Christopher Hansler (Melissa) and Tyler Hansler (Bekah); and his great grandchildren, Zack and Cole Hansler.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home (44 S Mill St, Naperville, IL 60540). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
