He was predeceased by: his son Matthew Joel Johnson; his parents, Frederick Johnson and Margaret Johnson; and his sister Jane Whalon (Mike). He is survived by: his wife Antoinette "Toni" Johnson; his child Jamey Johnson (Julie) of Naperville; his grandsons, Brett and Joel Johnson; his sister-in-law Patricia Boyd (late Thomas E.) of Yorkville, IL; his cousin Shirley Striedl (George); his nephews, Brian and Brandon Boyd; and his niece Jennifer.
