He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean Dunphy; his parents, James V. Dunphy, and Ramona Dunphy, Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Keegan of Virginia and Jim Keegan.
He is survived by: his sons, Joseph, Michael, Kevin (Lynn), Dr. James, David (Colleen), Brian (Theresa) and Mark Dunphy; his grandchildren, Kevin Seamus, Emma, Ryan, Fiona, Kayla, Stephanie, Sam, Katie, Siti and Sarah; his sister Frances Martin; and his sister-in-law Joan Brinser (late Dale).
He was a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, served on the board of the American Heart Association DuPage Chapter, and was President of the Medical Staff at Edward Hospital 1994-1996.
