He was predeceased by: his father John Turek, Sr.; and his pets, Rex and Thumper. He is survived by: his wife Denise; his mother Jeanne Turek; his siblings, John Turek, Jr. (Suzanne) and Maria Tobin (Tim); and his nieces and nephews, Megan Bivin (Hunter), Tyler Tobin, Alexis, Marisa, Cordy Lorenz, Lily and Jack Brennan.
