She was predeceased by: her husband Ricardo A. "Toto" Somoza; and her parents, Celestino Lara and Trinidad Lara. She is survived by: her children, Rica Somoza (Jhoana Magat) of Naperville and Rico Somoza (Maria Christina) of Lisle; her grandchildren, Arica Somoza, Qriznique Somoza and Qrizniquolas Somoza; and her siblings, Erlinda Lara, Egbert Lara, Evangeline Ibasan and Reynold Lara.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home (44 S Mill St, Naperville, IL 60540). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Peter & Paul Catholic Church (36 N Ellsworth St, Naperville, IL 60540).
