He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph G. Heaton and Frances Schofield Heaton; and his brothers, Lynden, Dale, Russel, Ivan and Barry.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Sunderland; his children, Philip Heaton (Darcy Wade) of Murrayville and Carmen Karhliker (Bill) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Erin Thompson (Jason), Morgan Peterson (Mark), Kody Karhliker (JoAnna), Taylor Karhliker (Matt Owens), Carly Karhliker and Claire Heaton; and his siblings, Bruce Heaton (Sharon) of Venice, FL, Nancy Spangenberg (Gary) of Murrayville and Carla Sheppard (John) of Ashland. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Koinonia Retreat Center or the Murrayville United Methodist Church.
