He is survived by: his wife Mary Compton (Ford); his son Andrew Joe; his daughter-in-law Tammy Sue Compton of Beaver Dam, KY; his stepdaughter Tami Lynette Compton of West Frankfort, IL; his grandchildren, Kami Sue Compton, Madison C. Compton, Isaac Compton, Moriah Compton, Lyndsy Kendall, Victoria Brooke Worthen, Sara Lynn Worthen, Jordan Luecking, Chad Luecking, Lacie Hasty and Angeline Hasty; and his siblings, Ruby Popejoy of Murphysboro, Eula Mae Puttman of Bluefield, VA, Joyce McGhee of Richlands, VA, Roy Compton of Ava, Troy Compton of Murphysboro, Charlie Compton, Cecil Compton of Ava, Anne Jo Worthen of Murphysboro, Deborah Kay Burris of South Port, NC, Rachel Ball of Murphysboro and Pam Burris of Elora, TN. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
