He was predeceased by: his parents, George Murphy and Katherine Loretta Murphy (Little); his sons, George Murphy and Timothy Evans; and his sister Betty.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Murphy (Wolf); and his children, Mettie Conley (Calvin), Marcy Thomas, Clinton Murphy, Teddy Murphy (Chris), Phyllis Byrd (Eric), Barbara Robinson (John), Mary Barringer, Rick Murphy, Darrell Murphy and Lindsay Davis (Randy Vanover). He is also survived by 36 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
