We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2021, at the age of 74, Silas Saylor Smith III of Murphysboro, Illinois, born in Long Beach, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas S. II and Freda M. Smith (Spence); and his siblings, Marianne F. Smith and John Smith. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn N. Smith (Cox); his grandchildren, Brody and Aubrey Smith; and his siblings, Carolyn Smith, Barbara Rinella, Therese Zolk, Christina Westbrook (Mike), Dennis Smith (Andrea), Joseph Smith (Kristy) and Christopher Smith (Susan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.
