She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Parrish and Alice Parrish (Robinson); her husband Max Clinard Doerr; her children, Wade Griffin and Sarah Paige Pierce (Griffin); and her siblings, Tom Parrish, Ira Parrish, Dorothy Davis (Parrish), Irene Shewmaker (Parrish), Mary Ferguson (Parrish) and Lulabelle Boulden (Parrish).

She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Doerr (Kathy) of Murphysboro and Brad Doerr (Theresa) of Murphysboro; her grandchildren, Brett Doerr (Rebecca) of Murphysboro, Melinda Guthman (Matthew) of Murphysboro, Brooke Guthman (Ryan) of Murphysboro and Justin Doerr (Cara) of Murphysboro; her foster daughter Sharon Stallings of Murphysboro; her daughter Janie King (Pullis) of Wylie, TX.; her great grandchildren, Ellee of Murphysboro, Isabelle Doerr of Murphysboro, Avery of Murphysboro, Myles of Murphysboro, Kate Guthman of Murphysboro, Caroline of Murphysboro, Elias of Murphysboro, Liam Guthman of Murphysboro, William Hawthorne of Murphysboro, Max of Murphysboro and Elizabeth Doerr of Murphysboro; and her siblings, Wiley Parrish of Murphysboro, Paul Parrish of Florida and Sharon Maynor (Parrish) of Elkville. She is also survived by several brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sarah Doerr Scholarship Fund or the Wesley United Methodist Church.
