She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas King and Myrtle King (Maze); her husband Donald V. Johnson; her children, Sharlet Smith and Kenny Johnson; and her grandson Donald Wayne Johnson. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; three brothers and eight sisters.
The family would prefer that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
