He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucian Stearns and Ruby Stearns (Hickam); his former wife Norma Celestine Lindsey; his wife Shirley Lipe; and his son Richard Stearns.
He is survived by: his children, Russell, Mike, Shelia, Cindy and Twyla; his brother Claude Stearns (Joyce); his nephew Heath; his niece Cheryl; his cousins, John Hickam, Kenny Spaulding and Bobby Holt; his pet Benny; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Rains and Gerald Lindsey (Jeananne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
