He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Delphine Morgan (Kiel) and William Richard "Dick" Qualls; his stepfather Robert Morgan; and his sister Jane Ann Moore (Morgan). He is survived by: his sister Barbara Lynn Stephens; his brother-in-law Larry; his brother James Morgan; his sister-in-law Leslie; his nieces, Jessica Stephens and Danielle Morgan; his nephew Jacob Morgan; and his cousins, Richard and Kathryn Qualls.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Rodney's memory be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
