He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Kiel and Minnie L. Kiel (Baskin); and his siblings, Wanda Applegath, Jo Moniger, Lois Morgan and Bill Kiel.
He is survived by: his wife Glenann Kiel of Murphysboro; his daughters, Sharon Bateman (Bill) of Murphysboro, Karen Perschbacher (Dan) of Murphysboro and Kim Grammer (Chuck) of Murphysboro; his grandchildren, Jenny Roberg (Isaac), Nathan Bateman (Kelly), Bryan Perschbacher (Casey), Brittany Perschbacher, Jessica Grammer and Karissa Lemon (Bryan); his great grandchildren, Jacob, Landon Perschbacher, Levi Bateman, Lucas Greyson and Colton Roberg; his brother Bob; and his sister-in-law Helen Kiel of Murphysboro.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Murphysboro.
