It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Van Meter (Murphysboro, Illinois), who passed away on March 5, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Howell and Revil Howell (Shadowens); her husband Howard Dale Van Meter; her daughter Melody Ellis; and her siblings, Mary Wright, Rose Worthen, John, Herman, Lymon, Bud and Jim Howell.
She is survived by: her pet Lobo; her children, Ron Van Meter (Jennifer Van Meter) of Carbondale, Rick Ellis of Murphysboro and Tina Feldman (Scott Feldman) of Lone Tree, Iowa; her stepson Tony Van Meter (Lisa) of Cahokia, Illinois; and her siblings, Helen Howell and Alvis Howell of Murphysboro. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
