She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Joles, Jr. and Ruth Joles (Prentice). She is survived by: her husband John R. Laughland; her daughters, Melissa Starke (Shawn) of Belleville, IL and Heather Etherton (David) of Carterville; her stepson Michael Laughland (Marian) of Murphysboro; her grandchildren, Morgan Starke of Flint, MI, David Starke of O'Fallon, IL, Lara Starke of Belleville, Shane Laughland of Murphysboro, Danielle Laughland of Carterville, Garrett Etherton of DeSoto, Gabrielle Etherton of DeSoto and Alexis Laughland of Murphysboro; her great grandchildren, Travis Smith, Allyson Smith, Shawn Smith, Haley Jines and Grant Etherton; and her siblings, Cheryl Joles and Tom Joles.
In lieu of flowers in memory of Lori, the family would prefer memorials to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and in memory of John, the family would prefer memorials to be made to the Wounded Warriors.
