He was predeceased by: his parents, Tanner Burnett and Rosemary Burnett (Halteman); and his brother Richard Burnett. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Burnett of Murphysboro; his sons, David Burnett (Cassie) of Springfield and Steven Burnett of Carbondale; his granddaughter Sarah Schoenig (Dan) of St. Louis, MO; his sons, Michael Burnett (Emily) of Orlando, FL and Jack Burnett (Nicole) of Flagstaff, AZ; his great grandchildren, Theo, Danny Burnett and Ellie Schoenig; and his sister Carol Green (Joe) of Murphysboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged and can be directed to the American Cancer Society; American Heart Association and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
