It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Ann Ellis of Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Ann Ellis to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Milford Allen and Martha Kenosha Morgan (Biggs); her son Kim Alan Ellis; and her siblings, Charles, David, Richard, Betty, Mary, Rose, Sue and Brenda.

She is survived by: her husband Robert L. Ellis; her children, Deborah Kenosha Smith (Brian) and Michael Lee Ellis (Angie); her daughter-in-law Marion Ellis; and her grandchildren, Joshua Smith (Nichole), Lukas Smith (Karoline), Lindsey Ellis, Casey Thomas (Nicholas), Haley Ellis and Jamie Mezo (Rodney). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (371 Health Dept Rd, Murphysboro, IL 62966-6107). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park (13 Old Town Creek Rd, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
