He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Charles and Ella Zelphia Genovese (Worthen); his wife Joann Turner; his brothers, Joe and Donald Genovese; his stepmother Helen Genovese; and his daughter Pat Florig (James).
He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Kiel (Robert) of Murphysboro; his granddaughter Brittney Pearson (David) of Pinckneyville; his great grandchild Ember Pearson; his stepgrandson Matthew Kiel (Natalie) of Florida; and his siblings, Toni Jurich (Pat) of Christopher and Frank Genovese (Vickie) of St. Louis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
