He was predeceased by: his stepfather Pete Reichert; his grandfather Eugene Boone; his father Pete Thomas Martin; his grandparents, Sam and Amy Martin; and his uncle Sam Martin.

He is survived by: his mother Mary Ann Duncan Martin (Boone) of Murphysboro; his brothers, Thomas Martin (Nancy) of Murphysboro and John Duncan (Naomie) of Bellevue, Nebraska; his niece Erin Phuffer (Mark); his nephew Jacob Duncan; his great-niece Shelby Phuffer; and his grandmother Nellie Johnson of Murphysboro.
