James Shields Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Shields of Murphysboro, Illinois, born in Gorham, Illinois, who passed away on July 4, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Shields and Mabel Shields (Gale); his wife Barbara Mileur; and his sisters, Margaret Shields, Vera Mueller and Teresa Lee.
He is survived by: his siblings, Harold Shields (Shirley) of Murphysboro, Barbara Alstat of Vergenes, Mary Schuster (Aaron) of Murphysboro, Erwin Shields (Gerri) of St. Charles, MO, Wayne Shields (LaWanda Karaca) of St. Charles, MO, Connie Froemling (Leonard) of Campbell Hill and Joe Shields of Sacramento, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be given to St. Andrew School or to St. Andrew Church.
