He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Loy and Helen Loy (Parris). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann "Trish" Prost; and his sisters, Barb Grosvenor of Murphysboro and Nancy (Don Siefert) of Murphysboro. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Masses at St. Andrew Catholic Church and or donations for the Activities Room at Manor Court in Carbondale are suggested in lieu of flowers.
