He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Royer and Marie Royer (Murphy); his sons, Kenny Royer and Josh Penrod; and his grandchildren, Tonya Falkenburry, Darrin Howard and Brandon Royer.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Royer (Pender); and his children, Ronnie Royer (Sherry) of Belleville, IL, Connie Falkenburry of Murphysboro, IL, Monica Derossett (Buck) of Murphysboro, IL, Valerie Howard (David) of Homeland, FL, Gwen Basden (Brett) of Murphysboro, IL, Demetra "Petza" Stanley (Greg) of Murphysboro, IL and Jason Royer (Shelly) of Murphysboro, IL. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
