She was predeceased by: her father Herbert Nance; her stepfather Harry Reeves; her mother Esther Nance; her brothers, John Reeves and George Reeves; and her daughter-in-law Linda Ellis (Short).

She is survived by: her husband Howard Leon Ellis; her siblings, Albert Nance and Eva Reeves; her children, Tony (Buffy), Troy Ellis, Jody Ellis, Jason Ellis and Robin Ellis; her granddaughters, Myranda Hadsock and Autumn Ellis; and her great grandchild Mattison Hadsock. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends.

Memorials may be made to Dutch Ridge Cemetery.
