He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Mason and Nettie Mason (Welchel); his son Ryan Mason; and his siblings, Raymond Mason, Willie Mason and Helen McGee.
He is survived by: his wife Betty (Morrison); his children, Crystal Tomas (Pedro) of Murphysboro, IL, Angela Fite (Harold) of Murphysboro, IL, Matthew Mason (Barbara) of Vergennes, IL and Jeff Mason of North Carolina; his siblings, Mary Tucker, Edith Stevens, Henrietta Zink and Charlie Mason; and his grandchildren, BJ Tomas, Amanda Tomas, Brooke Fite, Lauren Withiem, Travis Black, Courtney Contes and Chance Mason.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family of George Mason.
