It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Alvin Fletcher of Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away on May 25, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gean Fletcher and Lorena Fletcher (Baysden); and his siblings, William Donald Fletcher (Sue), Bobby Gean Fletcher and Shirley Robertson (Jack).

He is survived by: his wife Carla Jean Fletcher; his siblings, Rick Fletcher (Shirley) and Teresa Gilbert (Larry); and his siblings-in-law, Cindy Richrock (Jimmy) and Steve Duke. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
