Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Evelyn Naomi Potter of Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 99, on April 20, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh D. Reeder and Ruth E. Reeder (Bullar); her husband William Forrest Potter; and her siblings, Hugh Reeder and Imogene LaPlant.
She is survived by: her daughter Kay; her son-in-law Larry Weatherford of Carbondale; her sons, William Forrest II (Donna Potter) and Michael (Lynne Potter); her grandchildren, Dr. Kirsten Wilkerson (Peter) of Edwardsville, IL., York Weatherford (Yasuyo) of Kyoto, Chad Weatherford (Lindsay) of Austin, TX., Sean Potter of Austin, TX. and Drew Potter of Austin, TX.; her great grandchildren, Meghan, Jack Wilkerson of Edwardsville, IL, Yuki Weatherford of Kyoto, Ashley, Kaylee, Kolbe, Aaron, Amanda Weatherford and Brittany Christensen; and her friend Julia Morrill.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions there is a 50 person capacity within the church. Social distancing practices and facial coverings are required.
Naomi's family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Murphysboro Food Pantry.
