She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roscoe Sweet and Ella Ethel Sweet (White); her husband Alvin Boyer; and also Richard Boyer.
Doris developed a strong work ethic at a very young age when she began babysitting and picking blackberries, where her hard work earned her a place in the hearts of those who enjoyed her sweet contributions to homemade pies.
