He was loved and cherished by many people including: his pet Riplee; his children, Deryk McDowell (Melissa Homan) of Webster Groves, MO, Daymon McDowell of Geneseo, IL and Dawn Olson (David McNeill) of Murphysboro, IL.; his grandchildren, Dylan McDowell of Webster Groves, MO, Emarie McDowell of Geneseo, IL, Brayden McDowell of Webster Groves, MO, Jace Olson of Murphysboro, IL, Khyler McDowell of Geneseo, IL, Reid Olson of Murphysboro, IL and Bentley McNeill of Murphysboro, IL.; his grandfathers, Dave', Dylan, Emarie, Brayden, Jace, Khyler, Reid and Bentley; his sister Suellyn Rowden (Gary) of Murphysboro, IL; his siblings-in-law, Debi Naegele (Reynolds) and Chris Naegele of Murphysboro, IL; his parents, Arthur Roscoe and Robbie McDowell (Casey) of Murphysboro, IL; his brother James; and his sister-in-law Judy McDowell (Garver) of Terre Haute, IN.. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Crain Funeral Home - Downtown Murphysboro (1421 Walnut St, Murphysboro, IL 62966). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Crain Funeral Home (1421 Walnut St, Murphysboro, IL 62966). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Elks Lodge (1809 Shomaker Dr, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
