He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Tippy and Helen Tippy (Gwaltney); and his sisters, Ruth, Thomas and Mary Barnett.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Rees; his children, Lynn Haar and David Tippy (Kelly); his grandchildren, Jenna Butz (Vincent), Maria Tippy and Dominick Haar; his brother Clifford Tippy; and his aunt Bonnie Kay Glisson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home - Old (31 Memorial Dr, Murphysboro, IL 62966). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park (13 Old Town Creek Rd, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to St. Louis Shriners Children's Hospital. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
