He was predeceased by: his parents, Winton Ellis and Margaret Ellis (Walker); and his siblings, Martha Lawrence, Deloris McNeil and Donald Ray Ellis.
He is survived by: his son Darrell Ellis of Benton, Illinois; his granddaughter Miranda Ellis of Benton, IL.; and his siblings, Barbara Jackson (Orville) of Huntsville, AL, Shirley Lipe of Murphysboro, Charlene Blotzer (Lee) of Youngstown, OH, Michael Ellis of Jacksonville, FL and John Ellis (Pam) of Sterling, CO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the memorials can be made to The American Cancer or Heart Association.
