It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Candace Deshazo of Murphysboro, Illinois, born in Princeton, Illinois, who passed away on February 21, 2021, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Darwin Pierson and Connie Pierson; her son Benjamin; her siblings, Suzanne Pierson (Kevin Doyle) of Edwardsville, Lynae Pierson (Stephen Kovach) of Columbus and Kendall Pierson (Satjeet) of Albuquerque; and her nieces and nephews, Kaeleigh Kovach, Kaliapi Kovach, Kira Mangam, Logan Pierson and Andrew Doyle.
Memorials may be directed to Arukah Institute of Healing or the Bureau Valley High School Class of 1999 Mental Health Awareness Scholarship honoring Candace DeShazo.
