With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Byron Wendel York of Murphysboro, Illinois, born in Tuscola, Illinois, who passed away on October 7, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Coslet York; and his parents, Norman York and Jessie York (Keeney). He is survived by: his children, Cynthia York-Camden (Brian), Gail Frangoulis (Paul) and Paul York (Dara); his grandchildren, Mindy Belcher (John), Rachel Crane (Jerred), Sarah Sappington (Will), Kelli Frangoulis and Jacob York; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Belcher and Daxton Belcher; and his pet Charlie. He is also survived by great grandchildren.

Masks and social distancing are required.

Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church, 51 Crescent Drive, Murphysboro, Illinois 62966.
