He was predeceased by: his parents, Jozef Karda and Antonina Karda; his parents-in-law, Edward and Lottie Cukla; and his brothers, Henry, Joseph, Edward, Walter and Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his son Ed Karda; and his granddaughter Emily Karda. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Chapel (410 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of Annunciation (22333 W Erhart Rd, Mundelein, IL 60050). A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
